From where they start on tour?

The activities can start at Kasane or Maun depending on where and what times our guests would have arrived in either places

-If they arrived in Maun they could start at Xakanaka(Moremi Game Reserve South Gate)-Khwai ( Moremi Game Reserve North gate)- then Savuti and lastly Chobe National Park. Reverse journey if they arrived at Kasane (8 nights package only)

– for 6 nights they start at Khwai then Savuti and lastly Chobe National Park. Reverse journey if the place of arrival is Kasane

– 4 nights package only includes Savuti and Chobe National Park

-2 Nights package is only available for Chobe National Park

The pick up times depend on their time of arrival( normally at the airport or border posts depending on where their place of arrival)

We also do mobile safaris and camping trips, in the Chobe national park/Savuti/Khwai/Moremi game reserve/ Nxai pan/Makgadikgadi national park. Mosikiri safaris is led by some top guides in Botswana. On mobile safaris we provide cook and camp assistants. We accommodate from two to 8 guests, of which they are able to book on dates that suit them, rather than be restricted to set pre planned schedules. With Mosikiri safaris the emphasis isn’t just about viewing the big Five;it’s about the warmth of the camp fire and distant roar of lions and hyenas. Mosikiri safaris also do day trips from Kasane to Zimbabwe and Zambia, to see the spectacular Vic falls.

Have you a chef?

A Chef prepares and serves the breakfasts, lunch, dinner and desserts

There is snack provision during game drives

(During the morning game drive at around 0900hrs there is coffee and tea break with biscuits)

(During the afternoon game drive the snacks range from raisins, chips, biltong,cold drinks and water)

We also serve: Wines, beer and gin are provided

We are alone in the Safari?

Throughout the camping duration there will be a backup/escort car which will be carrying the camping and equipment. The car will be based at the camp site but in cases of the Safari car breakdowns and emergencies there is radio communication equipment and a satellite phone to seek out help from the escort car or medical rescue helicopter services.

What does x2 mean

By x2 activities we mean there will be two game viewing drives,one in the morning and one in the afternoon at the specified times above

How do i dress?

Mosikiri safaris can tailor make your safari according to your expectations. Its founder Mmolai Rephatlaletse, commonly known as killer is a professional guide with 29 years’ experience in guiding profession, giving him vast knowledge of the flora and fauna. What to WEAR and what to pack in winter[ MAY to AUGUST , JACKETS, SWEATER and WARM HAT, DONT forget warmer boots. SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER Lighter clothing for the day and sun hat and sun ciasses. We recommend closed shoes after sunset in the camp

WE ALWAYS RELY on the company insurance Company, which provides comprehensive coverage at absolutely competitive prices. They also provide customer assistance, and always active call center and 24 hour medical insurance with unlimited telephone medical advice.

Can use my phone?

Mobile network coverage is available in some of the areas such as Khwai or when transiting through some villages with coverage. WiFi is available at Khwai, Xakanaka and Savuti gates

Better season for Safaris?

Favorable season for conducting camping expeditions is from April until November

Raining season this side which is December until end of March is not favorable because there is less game available but we could provide the packages during the raining season if it is the time convenient and preferred for by the customer

How is the tent?

Accommodation-we provide semi luxury tented accommodation with en-suite toilet and shower-for the bedding we provide stretcher,mattress,sheets, duvet,a pillow,towel, lighting lamp( they could bring their own head torch) and also provide their own toiletries (toothbrush and toothpaste,soap and shower gels)

When camping,Camphand provide laundry services

Is possible a Lodge?

We can also book lodge/hotel accommodation where they will be provided all the necessary lodging conveniences and services food and laundry,pools (food and laundry are paid for separately at the lodges). Call me for more information.

Tent or Lodge?

In safaris I mainly use the tent, as you can appreciate the true nature of Safari in Botswana. But if necessary, I use Lodge as the SUNBIRDS HOTEL in Kazane
